Techniques for upgrading vehicle lighting are superficially the same as for aircraft lighting upgrades. However, ground based night vision devices do not usually use the same type of cut off filter as aviators’ night vision goggles, which means that lights cannot strictly be made fully NVG compatible in the same sense.
It is more likely that a form of secure lighting is required, providing signature management to reduce vulnerability to enemy forces equipped with night vision devices.
