NVG compatible filters for filament (incandescent) lamps have to work harder than filters for other light sources, such as LEDs, as the output in the near infra-red (the NVIS response band) is substantially higher. Indeed the near-IR output is usually higher than the visible output.

- Coloured absorption filters to provide not just the required levels of NVG compatibility but also the correct colours for filament lamps used in aircraft cockpit indicators, compliant with MIL-STD-3009 and RTCA/DO-275.
