Dark room compliance testing for civil registered aircraft cockpit equipment

Support for customer cockpit ground testing

Portable spectroradiometer available

Test equipment calibration traceable to national standards

While MIL-STD-3009 is the most commonly required standard for military aircraft NVG compatible cockpit lighting, RTCA/DO-275 is the accepted standard for civil registered aircraft.

There is much in common between the standards, particularly the methods and parameters for defining lighting compatibility and colours, but DO-275 goes further in requiring NVG aircraft ground testing. Conditions and methods, typically requiring a dark hangar, carefully controlled low level lighting, and special resolution charts, are all defined.

Consolite can support civil aircraft operators and system integrators with provision of the necessary equipment and expertise to perform this testing.
