NVG filters for land based systems present a different set of requirements again to aircraft or warship lighting systems. Ruggedness in the battlefield environment is of paramount importance and here polymer filters are particularly important.

The purpose of the filter might be to maintain compatibility with NVDs used by friendly troops, or it might be to maintain visual security, reducing signature to NVD equipped enemy troops, or both. Ground troops' NVDs frequently differ from aviators' NVGs in not having a long pass "minus blue" filter present, which can change the characteristics of the appropriate lighting filter.

Consolite offers a range of polymeric filter types to satisfy these requirements. They can be used in vehicle cabs, for dash panel lighting or display filtering, and they can be used on hand held instruments, such as communication devices or map displays.

Filters can be supplied for all types of display, including LED, LCD (CCFL or LED illuminated) and OLED. Flexible or thin filters can be supplied for use on touch screen devices or these can be filtered internally where access is possible.
