Consolite has long experience of modifying existing aircraft lighting for use with NVGs. This includes the conversion of all cockpit and interior light sources to full NVG compatibility, complying with MIL-STD-3009, DO-275, or other relevant specifications. It also includes, if required, the modification of exterior lights such as position, anti-collision, formation and taxi lights. All modifications are effected using the most appropriate and advanced materials and technologies to meet technical, budgetary and regulatory requirements.
Consolite can visit the end user anywhere in the world to perform an aircraft survey before planning the optimal conversion strategy. Consolite will then work with the end user or the system integrator at any location to ensure modifications are accomplished with the minimum of disruption to day to day activities, that the modification is properly tested for NVG flight, and that it can gain the necessary certification.
Consolite can also help the customer by advising on interpretation of NVG lighting speciifcations, by supplying night vision goggles, and by providing NVG flight training packages.
Similar technologies and capabilities can be applied to military vehicle lighting systems, including interior instrument and display lighting, with the aim of providing both NVG compatibility and visual security.
