The Software
The Consolite Forensic Imaging Software (CFIS) has been specially developed for CERA by an acknowledged expert in the field of forensic imaging. It has been extensively tested to ensure reliability and is intuitive and easy to use.
Images captured by the integrated camera and special lighting system from the circumference of the cartridge case are automatically stitched together to provide a complete 360 degree picture of the surface. Sophisticated image enhancement techniques are brought into play to ensure the fingerprint marks are optimally visible, and the output can then be generated in an appropriate format.
CFIS maintains a full audit trail of source images throughout the image stitching and processing sequence, ensuring that no vital information is lost.
The PC and monitor are supplied with the machine, ready loaded with the software, to provide dedicated hardware with the necessary processing power and the optimum high resolution screen.
